The house was quiet — too quiet.
The kind of silence that presses against your skin, like it's watching.

She stood in front of the old door.
She'd never touched it before. Not even as a child.
She knew what happened if you opened it.
Everyone in the family did.
They warned her. Cried. Screamed.
But tonight... something was different.

Tonight, the door was calling —
Not with a howl.
With a hello.
In a voice she hadn't heard in years.
A voice that sounded like her mother.
Like safety. Like home.

"Hello?"
The voice was soft... familiar.
But wrong.

Her hand moved on its own.
The doorknob turned cold under her skin.
The lock clicked open.

She blinked.

And standing on the other side...
was herself.
But not really.

Her eyes were black.
Her smile too wide.
And her voice... her voice cracked with something not human.

"You let me out..."
"And now..."
"I let you in."

Something lunged — not at her body, but into her mind.

And then... she wasn't the one standing there anymore.
[scene 2]

The first time He saw her, she was standing barefoot in the middle of the road.
Hair soaked from the rain.
Eyes empty — like windows with the curtains torn down.

Cars honked.
People stared.
She didn't flinch.

he didn't either.
Because he saw it.

Not her.
What stood behind her.

A second shadow.
Twisted. Grinning.
Its fingers curled around her spine like a marionette's strings.

Most people would've called it madness.
But he had seen things like this before.
Things that didn't belong to the living.

He stepped closer.
And the moment their eyes met —
her lips curled into a smile that wasn't hers.

"You see me,"
the demon said, using her voice.

"Good."

"Then you'll know... you're too late."

And just like that, she was gone.
Not physically.
But whatever piece of her that had survived... had just vanished beneath the surface.

he knew what that meant.
He'd seen possession.
But this — this was different.

This wasn't a haunting.

It was a replacement.
